SynDaver’s lifelike synthetic human to be used to demonstrate medical simulation during IMSH in San Antonio this week

SAN ANTONIO – Conference-goers at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) will have the opportunity to experience live group medical simulations combining SynDaver’s Synthetic Human, immersion table and a smart board collaboration system. This first-of its-kind bundled solution will be offered as part of an exclusive IMSH show promotion.

The SynDaver® Synthetic Human was thrust into the national spotlight after first appearing on ABC’s hit show, Shark Tank, and has since become a leading simulation tool for hyper-realistic medical training in educational institutions, hospitals and military installations around the world.

“At SynDaver, we specialize in creating products that aid in the suspension of disbelief to help students learn in the most lifelike and realistic ways possible, even when training is being conducted in large groups,” said Christopher Sakezles, founder of SynDaver. “We’re excited to showcase the capabilities of our anatomy model for IMSH participants by leveraging new technology to give every attendee the experience of observing the next generation of medical simulation.”

Conference attendees interested in learning more about SynDaver’s latest products can visit booth 938 throughout the conference and are invited to experience live product demonstrations that will run approximately every 30 minutes throughout the three-day expo.

SynDaver’s synthetic humans, animals and task trainers simulate the anatomy of live patients in great detail, including individual muscles, tendons, veins, arteries, nerves and organ systems. The company’s SynTissue® synthetic tissues are made of water, fibers and salts. Each of these non-toxic, non-latex tissues have been validated for mechanical, physicochemical, thermal and dielectric properties against the relevant living tissue.

Currently used around the globe, SynDaver products are replacing live animals and cadavers in medical device bench top testing  and in anatomy instruction and surgical training. They are also used by military medics and first responders in trauma scenarios, battlefield medical training and other life-support training situations.
