TAMPA, Fla. – A short time ago in a galaxy not so far, far away… SynDaver Labs, a Tampa-based manufacturer of synthetic humans, promoted an employee to the newly created rank of Darth Vader on Monday.

In his new role, William Wright will be responsible for all aspects of operations for the Death Star, which at SynDaver looks more like a clone manufacturing facility than a massive space weapon. Since joining SynDaver in July of 2015 as their director of operations, Wright has helped double the production rate for their wide range of products.

Although human resources has banned the Dark Lord’s signature force choke method for ensuring employee compliance, Wright’s new title has been well received by the SynDaver Stormtrooper team. Also included in Wright’s promotion is the new external title of vice president of operations.

Before joining SynDaver Labs, Wright spent over 25 years working in the medical device, biotech and manufacturing fields, both domestically and abroad. He previously served in a senior operations capacity for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and worked in roles from director of operations to general manager for a wide variety of companies both large and small.

“Our company has grown considerably over the last six months and Bill is doing a fantastic job in pushing SynDaver to new operational heights,” said Dr. Christopher Sakezles, chief technology officer and founder of SynDaver Labs. “I know that he will succeed in his new role, and although he is a proud member of the Sith, may the force be with him.”

SynDaver Labs is the world leader in manufacturing of synthetic human cadavers and provides a wide variety of products used by education institutions, medical device companies and countless other industries. Their products are anatomically correct and include nearly every component of a human body. More sophisticated cadaver models manufactured by SynDaver are even able to bleed and breathe, and the pupils dilate when exposed to light.
