SSH SimOps 2021

SimOps 2021: UNIFY, being held in the Tampa, Florida, July 14-16, 2021 at CAMLS – Center For Advanced Medical Learning And Simulation. Now being offered for a seventh year, SSH SimOps is designed to support the professional development of the Simulation Operations Specialist (SOS).

SimOps explores the innovative application of operational technology in a team-based environment. Through the use of new tools, best practices and experiential learning techniques, SimOps enables healthcare simulation professionals to advance their skills while building stronger team connections for the future. Through hands-on learning experiences, inventive demonstrations, a cutting-edge exhibition hall, and the latest research findings impacting simulation operations, SSH SimOps provides a unique experience for the SOS that strengthens the community of practice.

The SimOps 2021 Planning Team proposes the theme, Unify, as a symbol of the common ties that draw all SOS into the field of healthcare simulation. One of the greatest strengths of the Simulation Operations and Technology Section (SOTS) is the vast array of backgrounds and experience brought to the field. Finding commonalities within these varied roles and responsibilities will assist in moving the operations field forward into the future.

The power of the word Unify is unlimited. Not only does it stand as a theme to rally all members of the operations community, it also serves as a reminder that the field is united in one common goal: to improve patient safety. Unify serves as a reminder that cohesiveness within the profession will ultimately guide the field toward the goal of a safer future.

The SimOps 2021 Planning Team wants to encourage attendees to ignite their passion and help create an impulse of positive change as a collective group on the future of healthcare simulation.
