Biotech Company Unveils New Synthetic Tissue, Holds $250K Product Giveaway for STEM Programs Throughout U.S.

SynDaver Education announced Monday the launch of their Back-To-School Giveaway, which will provide $250,000 worth of products to schools, career centers and other eligible educational institutions

TAMPA, FL.SynDaver Education, a division of SynDaver Labs Inc., an advanced biotechnology company specializing in the creation of synthetic human and animal simulators for medical testing and training, announced Monday that it is kicking off a $250,000 Product Giveaway aimed to provide educators and administrators within K-12 schools, STEM programs, undergraduate and graduate-level anatomy, physiology, biology, nursing, veterinary technology, surgical technology, EMS and Fire Rescue, and simulation centers an opportunity to learn and train on the most realistic synthetic models on the market.

The product giveaway comes as SynDaver launches its next generation of SynTissue, a proprietary library of materials used to create their models and products. According to SynDaver, the second generation of SynTissue will provide a more realistic, more durable and more microbe-resistant product than before, allowing for longer shelf life and less maintenance required for upkeep for those in possession of new SynDaver models.

SynDaver’s innovative products and technologies have been shown to improve classroom engagement with students and boost the overall impact of the training curriculum. Through the products’ unprecedented realism, anatomically correct structures and life-like haptic responses, students are able to assimilate the learning objectives and boost their confidence, according to SynDaver leadership.

“We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our technology and deliver simulation technologies that exceed the expectations of students and educators. Having been awarded 18 U.S. patents is confirmation that we are innovators in the industry,” said Dr. Christopher Sakezles, SynDaver founder and CEO. “With products like our full-body anatomy models, airway trainers and the surgical canine, students are able to hone their skills on an anatomically correct device, with the same tactile experience they would have if performing the procedure on a live patient or animal. This experience and the confidence they gain are invaluable as they advance in their medical career. This product giveaway is meant to show our commitment to the educational sector and also demonstrates our commitment to limit — and ultimately end — the use of live and cadaveric humans and animals for training and testing.”

Selected schools and programs will be awarded full-body anatomy models in both the patented SynTissue and silicone versions, the SynDaver Surgical Canine, airway task trainers, synthetic frogs, and organ models.

The giveaway is scheduled to run through Nov. 30. Winners will be determined by electronic drawing and announced on Dec. 15 through SynDaver’s website and social media pages.

In addition to rolling out their quarter-million-dollar product giveaway and next-generation SynTissue, SynDaver also plans to increase the warranty on the SynDaver Synthetic Human to 10 years, ensuring peace of mind surrounding a product’s quality and longevity.

“We want our customers to have confidence that these products are meant to last a lifetime,” said Sakezles.

SynDaver’s synthetic humans, animals and task trainers simulate the anatomy of live patients in great detail, including individual muscles, tendons, veins, arteries, nerves and organ systems. The company’s proprietary SynTissue® synthetic tissues are made of water, fibers and salts. Each of these non-toxic, latex-free tissues has been validated for mechanical, physicochemical, thermal and dielectric properties against the relevant living tissue.
